Praised as the ‘Outstanding Artist’ at Opera Hong Kong’s 2026 gala (The Standard, Sing Tao), Hong Kong soprano and harpist Dr. Nicole Chan holds a Doctor of Music (Vocal Performance) and a Graduate Certificate (Choral Conducting) from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music. She holds a Master of Music (Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy) and a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, graduating with the highest academic distinction, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Global Leaders Institute.
Highlights of her 2025/26 season included performing with Opera McGill as Madame Herz in Mozart’s The Impresario and as Monica in Menotti’s The Medium, and conducting the school choir, the Schulich Singers.
In the 2024–2025 season, Nicole presented solo recitals at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, The Celeste Series, and Musica del Cuore. Her recent operatic roles include Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia with NUOVA Vocal Arts, Sœur Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites with Opera McGill, Milica in Svadba with Opera Horizons, and Dodo in The Merry Widow (Die lustige Witwe) with Opera Hong Kong. She was a soloist with the McGill Contemporary Music Ensemble and was awarded First Prize at the 2025 Canadian Classival Competition.
From an early age, Nicole has found joy in playing the piano and harp. Building on this dedication, she went on to receive the Licentiate Performance Diploma from the Trinity College London in Piano and the Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in Harp.
Nicole is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and conversant in Danish, Italian, German, French, and Shanghainese. She is a finalist for McGill University’s Research Alive Prize and a recipient of the Li Ka Shing Foundation–Opera Hong Kong Young Artist Overseas Fellowship.
In addition to being a published poet, Nicole is an enthusiast for gastronomy and oenology. She aspires to be a sommelière.
陳瑩瑩博士為香港女高音及豎琴演奏家。2026年,她於香港歌劇院周年慈善晚宴上獲頒「傑出藝術家」。
陳博士於加拿大麥吉爾大學舒立克音樂學院取得聲樂表演音樂博士學位及合唱指揮研究生證書;此前她於哥本哈根丹麥皇家音樂學院完成聲樂表演及聲樂教學音樂碩士學位,以及聲樂表演音樂學士學位,並以最高學術榮譽畢業。她亦持有全球領袖學院工商管理碩士(MBA)學位。
2025/26演出季,她於麥吉爾歌劇院(Opera McGill)演出莫札特《劇院經理》(The Impresario)中的赫茲夫人(Madame Herz),以及梅諾蒂《靈媒》(The Medium)中的莫妮卡(Monica)。她並擔任大學合唱團「舒立克歌者」(Schulich Singers)指揮。
2024–2025演出季中,瑩瑩於香港演藝學院、香港藝術館、Celeste Series音樂會及Musica del Cuore舉辦獨唱音樂會。她近期的歌劇角色包括為NUOVA聲樂藝術中心演出《塞維利亞的理髮師》中的貝爾塔、麥吉爾歌劇院《聖衣會修女對話錄》中的康斯坦斯修女、Opera Horizons《婚禮》中的米莉卡,以及香港歌劇院《風流寡婦》中的朵朵。她並成為麥吉爾當代室樂團的獨唱家,及榮獲2025年加拿大古典音樂比賽一等獎。
自幼年起,瑩瑩便以演奏鋼琴及豎琴為樂。憑藉這份熱情,她先後獲得倫敦聖三一學院的鋼琴演奏專業文憑及英國皇家音樂學院聯合委員會的豎琴文憑。
瑩瑩精通英語、粵語和普通話,並能熟練使用丹麥語、意大利語、德語、法語及上海話交談。她是麥吉爾大學Research Alive Prize的決賽入圍者及李嘉誠基金會及香港歌劇院「青年藝術家海外駐團獎學金」得主。
除了是作品已見刊的詩人,瑩瑩亦熱愛探索美食與葡萄酒學問,她有意成為一名專業品酒師。
